Covetousness In Coaching

Thoughts from my devotion this morning:

If The focus of your life is winning the next game, and doing whatever you can to acquire even more wins, then you probably suffer from COVETOUSNESS IN COACHING.

If you find your life driven by the need for more victories and moments of validation, if you are consumed with always being right in front of your players, if you define your success by what you have (or do not have), then you have been seduced by covetousness, and you will never find the happiness you are looking for as a coach.

Don’t spend your career seeking moments that will forever be fleeting. Rather invest in those you coach. Those relationships will matter more in the long run.
